Vince DeRosa is, without a doubt, the most recorded hornist in the world. In a career which has
spanned over sixty years, he has set the standard for french horn playing. As first horn in the 20th
Century Fox staff orchestra, thousands of motion picture and television soundtracks, countless
records with artists like Frank Sinatra and Henry Mancini, his wonderful, big, beautiful sound is
unmistakable. Sometimes you get to meet your heroes. Fortunately for me, this was the case
when I met Vince. He is an amazing combination of talent, consistency, and character. Vince and
I eventually became the best of friends and we have had great fun travelling together with our
wives to such places as Vienna, Budapest, and Prague.
